Introduction to OwnStats

What is OwnStats? It’s a self-hosted, open-source, and privacy-focused website analytics project that is cheaper than SaaS solutions, while you own all the data.

It runs on AWS and exclusively uses serverless services, meaning that you only pay for what you use and don’t have to worry about managing servers and other infrastructure.

CLI

The OwnStats CLI is a tool that helps you to install, configure, and manage your OwnStats installation. It’s the easiest way to get started with OwnStats, but you can also do everything manually if you prefer that. Have a look at the CLI Reference for more information.

Architecture

The OwnStats architecture is designed to be as simple as possible, while being highly scalable and performant. Have a look at the Architecture introduction and it’s subsections for the detailed architecture.
